Dog Crate Beds

Dog crate beds come in different sizes, shapes and make. Based on the size of the crate, you get a slightly smaller bed so it will fit well. Many dogs spend a long time there, so it is best to make them comfortable. Kate, my daughter’s Morkie is a lot of fun. In the mornings when she sees her human parents getting dressed for work, she tries to hide, but gets caught. She sleeps in the crate bed till noon, and then she has 1 hour with her dad and back into the crate she goes, until one parent or the other comes home. I thought she dreaded going in there, so I was given the opportunity to keep her at my place. All week she was free, and would lie very close to me. She moves when I move or else she is asleep on the couch. Saturday morning came and I showered and got ready for church and came down with my bible and handbag. As soon as Kate saw me all dressed up, she quietly went into the powder room where her crate was. I thought it was so cute, watching her back into the crate. I always hated putting her in there, but she is comfortable in there and feels safe, until one of us gets her out. She is ready to go out when we pick her, so we get her leash and go out the door for a little walk for her to do her business.

Lately, she goes into her crate when she knows it is time for her human parents to go to work.  Sometimes when they are ready to go to work, they have to look for her, and they have discovered that she just goes into her crate is sound asleep in her leopard design crate bed.  Sometimes she drags one of their clothing into the crate with her.  She is just so adorable. You dog will love you for thinking of their comfort by getting them a soft dog bed

Luxury dog beds

Hotel chains like Ritz Carlton and Red Roof Inns are going to the dogs.  They are now taking dog guests and provide amenities such as luxury dog beds, dog collars, and dog dishes.  It is however important to call each hotel to check on the rules before you take your pet with you on your vacation.  If you choose to take your own luxury dog bed with you that would be fine too.  It all depends on your needs for your pet.  It is great that you now have the option to do this.

There are all types of luxury dog beds that are available for dogs or cats for that matter.  There are heated dog beds, raised dog beds and dog crate beds.  Did I mention that my Kate loves her new dog crate bed?  Well, she likes it when she is at her own home (my daughter’s).  She has no problem getting into her dog crate when my daughter and her husband are ready to go to work.  But since she is visiting with me, she does not think that her dog crate bed is necessary.  She likes to lie down right next to me, wherever I am.  While I am working on my laptop, she wedges herself between the seat I am on and the next.  She even rests her little chin on my laptop.  If I were to put her in the dog crate she barks at me.  She has a luxury dog bed in her dog crate but it does not seem to compare to being right next to her grandma.Luxury dog bed

Dog crate beds

My ‘grandbaby’, Kate was here for a couple of days with her parents.  We got her a new crate with a dog crate bed and bumper.   The dog crate bed and bumper were of animal print.  Once it was set up, we tried putting her in it and she seemed pretty happy about it.  Her previous crate was a closed carrier, and when she was in there, she could not move much.  This is a wire crate which gives her the freedom to look out and not feel totally enclosed in it.  My daughter said that when she put Kate into the crate, she did not fuss at all.  usually, we could hear her ‘stomp her feet’ and bark when they put her in before they leave her and go out to work. Today, as soon as she went into the new crate she started ‘digging’ the new dog crate bed.  That is what she does when she is getting ready to sleep.  She loves satin, silk and leather.  She starts digging or scratching on any of these materials.  The new dog crate bed is made of faux fur, and she seems to like that too.

It is very important to get the right size dog crate bed to fit the crate.  So when we set up the new crate, my daughter was worried that the dog crate bed and bumper, that was bought much earlier may not fit.  But actually, I checked the measurements before ordering the crate.  When we put the dog crate bed in, it was a perfect fit, and so was the bumper guard.  The bumper guard was so that she won’t lie down too close to the wire cage or hurt herself in any way.  Another new thing for her is that she can see out and not feel claustrophobic in there.

The surface of the dog crates may be hard, and therefore it would nice if we placed a dog crate bed for our pets. Just as if we were to sleep on the floor, we may find ourselves a little sore, our pets may feel the same. It would be a kindness to make their stay in the crate a little softer with the dog crate bed. How many of our pets spend part of the day or night in the crate? Would it not be best if their sleeping spot is nicer or softer, with a pretty dog crate bed? Our pets do not complain about where they sleep. They are just happy when you open the crate door and let them out. All is forgiven. They love you so much that no matter what happens they still show their love. Since they make life so much more pleasant for us, should we not make their lives as pleasant as possible with a soft dog crate bed. Dog crate beds come in different sizes, thicknesses and colors. A darker color is best so that any stains will not show after it is cleaned. The size and thickness depends on the size of your crate. It also depends on the type of crate you use. If your crate is made of wire, then they definitely need a dog crate bed. They will also need a crate bumper guard. Just like we have a bumper guard for our baby’s crib, our dogs need a dog crate bed bumper guard. If there is no bumper guard, our pets may chew on the wire, and may have tears in their mouths. Dogs tend to chew on things, when they are bored, or want to get out. It is important to train you dog to stay in the crate and a soft dog crate bed will definitely make the time pass a little more gently and softly. It is also important to remember to remove the cover off the dog crate bed and wash in gentle soap especially made for dogs.

Raised dog beds

I was just thinking about all the flooding we have had recently. I noticed that many people lost their homes and everything they had to the floods. However, there were a few lucky people who did not. Why? Because they had raised houses. Some of the houses were built on stilts and it was a blessing because it protected their homes. All around them was water, in fact people brought them groceries by boat, but they were dry. Just as a raised house saved them from floods, a raised dog bed protects the dogs from whatever is on the floor. Yes, even when it rains, the raised dog bed will not get all soggy and wet. In fact the raised dog bed helps the dog stay cool on hot days, because air can circulate under them. A raised dog bed can be placed anywhere and still be comfortable for the dog. Raised dog beds can be placed on cement, hard floors or even in the grass, and your pet stays comfortable no matter what the surface of the floor is like. There was one lady who said that she hated the steps up to her home, until now, when those steps up saved their home from the floods.
